The design criteria used for the present clock were skeleton construction, with a clearly visible and unusual escapement. A maximum overall height of      18", the incorporation of a weight operated remontoire. The reduction of frictional losses in the train by the use of ball races on the spring barrel,              Hardened steel end caps for the arbors. High count pinions. a standard spring to give a duration of 14 or more days.                                                              . All components to be capable of manufacture on a Myford ML 10 lathe
